Arin Yoon photography & video

Bio

Arin Yoon is a photographer and filmmaker
based in New York.

She was born in Seoul, Korea, and came to the

U.S. as a child. She grew up in New Jersey and attended The University of Chicago, graduating

in 2001. She recently graduated from the School

of Visual Arts in 2009, receiving her Master of Fine Arts in Photography, Video and Related Media.

She was the recipient of the Aaron Siskand

Memorial Fellowship two years in a row.

Arin’s work has been screened and exhibited at

the Visual Arts Theater, the Visual Arts Gallery,

Palisades Park Multimedia Center, Queens Open

Center, and the Chicago Humanities Institute,
among other places. A photo essay of her project “Koreatown” was recently featured in
KoreAm Journal.
